Marinaside · Double glue down hardwood

From the concrete.
To the hardwood.

Preparation, bonded underlay and new hardwood in a Vancouver home. These site photographs show the layers beneath the floor and the installation taking shape around the spiral staircase.

The main living area

Before and after
the installation.

The exposed concrete was prepared before the underlay and hardwood were installed. The later view shows the new floor in the same living area, with the surrounding renovation still in progress.

Beneath the hardwood

Two adhesive layers.
One planned assembly.

In a double glue down installation, the underlay is bonded to the prepared subfloor. The hardwood is then bonded to the underlay. These closer views from the project show both adhesive layers during installation.
