SOUTHLANDS · HERRINGBONE HARDWOOD
A home, connected
by herringbone.
Patterned oak brings warmth and rhythm to Kenny and Michelle’s Southlands home, flowing around the kitchen island and into the living and dining spaces.
One pattern.
An open interior.
Against black cabinetry and pale walls, the oak floor gives this open home a continuous thread. Its changing grain catches the light, while the herringbone layout connects spaces with very different uses.
Installation by Jovan Ewusie and his team.

The floor sets
the rhythm.
The dining area opens directly into the kitchen and living room. The same pattern carries through, giving the interior continuity without needing walls between each space.
THE HOME, FEATURED ON JILLIAN HARRIS

WHERE MATERIALS MEET
A considered
connection.
The hardwood follows the outline of the black hexagonal tile, bringing the two materials together along a shaped edge.
Continuity,
on another level.
Oak stair treads and open steel railings carry the warmth of the interior between floors.
