Custom hardwood stairs · Vancouver & Lower Mainland

From one level.
To the next.

Hardwood stairs, made to suit your home. We plan the treads, landings and finishing details around your flooring, with careful attention to the fit, wood grain and colour.

Floors and stairs,
planned together.

We plan hardwood treads, landings and transitions around the surrounding floor. Wood grain, colour and the fit at each edge are considered together.

Existing stair construction and compatible components need to be assessed before confirming the finishing scope.

RICHMOND · OAK TREADS

Oak treads.
Considered edges.

Oak treads carry the warmth of the floor between levels. Their grain sits alongside the vertical lines of the black railings.

HORSESHOE BAY · THE STAIRWELL EDGE

A return
beneath the glass.

The oak continues over the stairwell edge. Mitred corners join the face and underside, connecting the detail to the surrounding floor.

Coordinate the
finishing details.

Stair finishing needs to be coordinated with the existing structure, railing or glass work and selected flooring. We discuss the scope and any work involving your builder or other trades during the site assessment.

Common questions.

Can stairs match the new hardwood floor?

We can discuss a coordinated approach using the selected wood and compatible stair components. Grain, tone and dimensions should be reviewed before fabrication or installation.

Do you work on projects with glass railings?

Our portfolio includes hardwood finishing beside glass stairwells. Railing or glass work and the flooring scope must be coordinated so the interfaces are planned.

What photos should I send before a visit?

A front view of the stairs, the landings and the surrounding floor is a useful start. Detail shots of edges and existing transitions help us understand the scope.
